Statue religieuse de la Vierge de la Charité 8" hauteur / Virgen de la Caridad del Cobre

Cette image représente le moment de la découverte de la Vierge de la Charité : « C'était au XVIIe siècle, lorsque trois hommes, connus sous le nom des « trois Juan », trouvèrent une image flottant sur la mer. Ces hommes étaient Juan Moreno, un esclave africain, et deux frères indigènes, Juan et Rodrigo de Hoyos. Selon la tradition, l'image était intacte malgré les vagues et portait une inscription qui disait : « Je suis la Vierge de la Charité ». Cette découverte miraculeuse devint rapidement un objet de vénération parmi les habitants de la région. La Vierge fut transportée au village minier d'El Cobre, où un petit sanctuaire fut construit pour elle, aujourd'hui basilique. Au fil du temps, son culte s'étendit dans toute l'île, devenant un symbole d'espoir et d'unité pour les Cubains.
