I've bought a few carved pieces over the years and the wood grain on this one is genuinely something else — you can see the tool marks if you look close. The painting on the face is so delicate it looks like watercolor. Sitting on my bookshelf it's easily the nicest thing I own.

The hand-carved details on these little Italian figurines are honestly unreal, right down to the folds in the clothing. I've never owned a limited edition piece before, so the numbered certificate tucked in the box was a nice surprise.
