I was struck by how the Greek perspective of Luke comes through in the way he organizes the stories for those early Christian communities. The book’s focus on encouraging believers waiting for the Lord’s return gave me a fresh sense of purpose in my own faith.

The way Lucas structures his account makes the humanity of Jesus feel so immediate, like you're walking the dusty roads with him. I found the detailed footnotes on his medical perspective surprisingly insightful.

I've read Luke's Gospel many times but never thought about him as a physician organizing his sources for communities awaiting the second coming. This book made those opening verses come alive for me.
